Wills and Testaments

Death is a fact of life, yet many people may not wish to make legal preparations for what will happen when death occurs. Deciding how to best appropriate tangible goods and assets may seem daunting, but know one fact: if you die without a will, your property will be divided according to a formula determined by Georgia law.

Hildebrand Law Office is prepared to help you put together a legal document that distributes your estate as you intend. In many cases, a simple will is all that is needed to take care of such matters; we are also prepared to offer more advanced estate planning information as needed.

What steps do we take in preparing a will?

  • First, we schedule an initial meeting, where we will review initial information to prepare your legal filing.
  • Second, we draft the legal documentation for the will.
  • Third, we have you return to the office to review the will for accuracy. If the will is to your satisfaction, you will sign the will, witnessed by two witnesses and a notary.
  • Finally, we present the will to you.

The service fee for finalizing a will is $150. However, the price for a husband and wife together is only $250. These service charges include all additional fees and court costs.
